Celia Scottow
Painting and drawing has always been a major part of my life. I grew up in Leeds and attended Loughborough College of Art where I studied textile design. I then worked as an art teacher in Leicester and Birmingham. I moved to Beeston in 2017.
The pressures of work and a growing family left me with little time to pursue my passion for drawing and painting. It was not until after I had retired that I found time for my own work. I draw botanical subjects in coloured pencil, a medium which I enjoy using. I am a member of the Birmingham Society of Botanical Artists. I was made a Fellow of the Society of Botanical Artists after my work was selected for exhibition in London for three consecutive years.
All my work is for sale. I accept commissions and undertake workshops in coloured pencil drawing and botanical drawing.
