Kay Power studied Fine Art at Nottingham University, also spending some time studying in Holland.

Her paintings are a mixture of Victorian portraiture and taxidermy. The birds she paints are self portraits or portraits of my family and friends. She uses mixed media, often painting over old paintings to create multilayered vivid and dynamic pieces.
